Money Issues
Worked on friday and saturday for last week, and i'm thinking of working tmr and tue, since saturday won't be a really good choice after celebrating emi's birthday. Plus i do have a free day tomorrow after work. I'm not telling my parents about my telemarketing job so that i can squirrel the money away to save for the camera. Well thought of a Bali trip, but it's too costly for me to save with the amount of money coming in. Hopefully Manchester City gets to the bottom of the table at the end of month and i'll get some money. Last year i was hoping that i'd graduate get a proper full time job and then start earning money, now i have to wait for another year and it looks like a long time from now. All the things that i wanna do with the money... Annual diving trip - i haven't gone on one this year yet, and with the monsoon season coming, it looks like a lost cause. Trip with Jon, coz he sponsored the bangkok trip, so it's my turn and i wanna bring him overseas. You know, the feeling of being able to pay for a trip for someone you love. Not anytime soon, sadly. Treat him to a nice dinner without going home with an empty pocket after. I want that kind of financial ability. BLEAH.
Other monetary issues such as public transport fares rising while transport companies continue raking in hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars at the expense of us. I guess the shareholders see it as a purely commercial entity that earnings are important. Well i understand if you're providing services that are not a basic need, money becomes the number 1 objective. But when you're providing services for the common people at the lowest denominator, people are bound to make noise when you raise prices and continue raking in money. The lack of transparency irks people and perhaps not enough (obvious) displays of corporate social responsibility. This is definitely not a complete argument, but just erm, mentioning the obvious.
I seem to have a penchant for doing that lately. Oh well. When i don't get enough sleep i tend to churn out nonsense.
