Crap Administration
My school's admin so fucked up. Invitation to honours isn't sent out, but we're automatically enrolled, and because the enrolment fees are waived coz we're current students, we appear on their list without any notice. Then they sms, email, call, asking whether you've submitted your preference for supervisors for your thesis. Hey, hey, slow down a sec, when did i agree to do my honours in july?! Especially when i filled in the form stating november intake. No... Come harass me everyday, and then sound bewildered over the phone when i said my enrolment form stated november. Then call me the next day with the wrong name, does christine sound like dawne to you? Nope didn't think so and she got my chinese name wrong too. What the hell is wrong with these people!?!
First off, not everyone of us qualified for honours (i'd think, otherwise just make it a direct honors program and don't waste everyone's time), and if we didn't receive our invitation, we wouldn't know. The list of supervisors were sent to EVERYONE in the cohort, so if you're saying everyone made it, then state it in the blardy email. While many of us were scratching our head wondering when we'd receive the letter, one statement in that email would have sufficed. I feel like screaming at that woman over the phone, but i kinda pity her, not.
Anyway back to prison break, yes i was irritated coz she disturbed me while i was watching the series. Two days in a row. Argh. My body is aching terribly coz i went for yoga yesterday after a break of 1.5 months. Maybe i'll go suntan tomorrow. Dinner with avis and christopher tonight. Yay! Plus i managed to get round to doing some stuff that i've been putting off done yesterday, so everything's cool. Haha. Did a bit of shopping despite my broke-ness. Well life is generally good. I kinda appreciate my hols, just nua-ing not doing anything much. Even though i had hoped the weather was slightly more cooperative. But it's cool, everything's just great. Heh happy holidays!
