Something sweet
Yesterday was asking philipp if he was free for supper, and he was saying yeah most probably. Then i asked if he was going out with his gf it's friday night afterall. Then he goes like i'm not sure, i'll check. So i said it's alright you know, if u guys have plans just go ahead we can always have supper another day. Then he says yeah i know but you are just as important.
That's like wow, a long time since a friend said something like that to me. But in the end his gf was sick and he had to meet her. But still, that statement was so sweet and thoughtful. I guess we don't usually do that, tell someone who's important in our lives that they ARE important. We show through actions and other (perhaps) indirect ways. But sometimes just that simple statement is enough. Sometimes words do speak louder than actions. Perhaps sometimes we don't think of the meaning behind every action. Like how my mum makes us drink fruit juice and all her wierd concoctions, we just take it at face value. But what belies her actions is her love and care and concern for our health and well-being. But we forget all about that, but reject her and sometimes think of throwing the stuff that she makes down into the sink. Yes i have to admit i've such horrible thoughts, luckily i've not done that yet. Now that i think of it, i would have been a very ungrateful daughter. Of course words without actions ring empty, but we all know that don't we.
