Momentary Joy II

Yes, after i thought everything would work, well except for the soundcard which wilfully refused to after my several attempts at coaxing it, i thought i'd survive without the soundcard and install the other software and stuff. After several installations, after rebooting, some program's file got corrupted (although it did seem out of the blue), repaired and went about installing more programs. After rebooting again, another program's file got corrupted. Now this is all starting to seem a little fishy, please, -cross my fingers- that it isn't my HDD. After swopping the soundcard to another slot trying to get it to work, the next time i turned on the PC, it hanged before booting into windows. So i restarted AGAIN, yes i was restarting the comp more often than actually using the comp, this time i didn't even beep. So now i can't start my PC at all. So it's the HDD and luckily Jon has a spare HDD, so he'll pass it to me and we'll see how. The best part of it all was that i swopped the soundcard after i installed ALL the programs i needed. ARGH!!!!! Well, luckily i didn't use the free time i had to import songs into iTunes and arranging it into playlists and stuff, otherwise now i'd have torn out all my hair and be spanking bald.

BLEARGH........ Nice, i switched to hotmail and see "Frustrated with your PC? Time for a Mac." LOL, perfect timing. Maybe i shouldn't check my emails when i'm frustrated with my PC. So i'll just stay in today since i'm utterly broke, even my dad was surprised when he heard i was at home. Well then again i'm rarely out on a saturday afternoon. On another note, my kind brother did offer me his soundcard when i complained that Jon's wasn't working the way it should be. I know yeah he spoilt my PC, but he had a 5 piece altec lansing speakers for his PC and now he's giving me his audigy even though he has an onboard soundcard which can handle 7.1. Anyway we'll see how it goes, maybe the soundcard doesn't have a problem at all. =)
