the world is not filled with stupid people, the world is filled with people who don't see things from your perspective

Have been reading a blog lately, she seems to be targeted heavily by flamers and people who don't seem to get what she is saying correctly. However, there's a lot of points to consider. I commented on a few of her posts and have also read other comments posted by other well-meaning individuals and i highly think that our definitions of flamers are different. Flamers to me are people who attack someone's ideas in a very personal way. And reading the comments that others have wrote i highly do not think that they were flaming her, but rather sharing their opinions with her. And her statement on saying that people are not reading what she is saying correctly, as a salesperson previously, to me communication skills are very important. As a person who communicates with the intention of a wide audience, in order to get your point across, your choice of words, placement of emphasis, is very important. However lack of it may cause lots of misunderstanding, and "stupid" people reading your blog. But in terms of communication, most people don't recognise that it's a very important skill. Most people tend to think that good communication skills are required only by people who use it daily in their jobs, eg. salespeople, managers, CEOs, presidents, etc. But the importance of communication skills in our daily lives is actually hidden. Think of the times you were frustrated with your friend coz you thought he/she was so dumb and couldn't get what you were saying? We rarely think that it's because we have poor communication skills, we always think the other person is dumb or dumb. Hey if they're dumb u can't blame me for him/her not understanding can you?
