SITEX madness
The aftermath of SITEX has struck, lots of things to settle, like my assignments, orders for earrings, my order for a ring from someone else, the general small little things in my daily life. But now it's more or less in order, well except the assignment. Hehe. Feeling brain dead and tired even though i slept for about 10hours. New part time job maybe, updating of contacts coz of the friends i met at the show. Life is now slightly more in order and i don't feel so overwhelmed by the amount of small little things that i have to do. The slow pace of being at home is much welcomed after the 4 days of hustle and bustle and having your aural and visual senses feeling like it's being attacked with so much information at the same time. Plus the comfort of familiarity and predictability is really helping me to unwind and getting myself back. It was a very demoralising show for the company and on a personal note, considering the amount of sales we racked up, or rather the lack of it. But the dinner after the show was good, and of course the spectacle of watching my brother and his friend sharing a plate of beef hor fun meant for 13 people. Yummy lunch today as well, pasta from coffee bean! =)
I finally understood the benefits of the birkenstocks by putting it through 13hour day tests for 3 days in a row and the soles of my feet didn't complain a single bit. While the other competitor, the charles and keith sandles resulted in my soles complaining after about 5-6hrs of standing. Now i truly appreciate the birkenstocks, everyone go get a pair now! Let me show you my birkies with its colony of mould..
After i wiped it..
And no don't worry i didn't wear the mouldy pair to SITEX, nor was the mould a result of my 3x13hr days. But more of mother nature with the combined effects of sun and rain and sitting in the balcony.
Alrightey back to work.
