Trip.Journey.Discover

I chose Borderline Personality Disorder for my essay. I think i love disorders where people swing from one extreme to the other maybe because at times in my head i battle those extremes and naturally my superego (vs id) wins. But it is fascinating, learning about the treatments, causes, thinking critically about such studies. All these would have eluded me had i chose to continue working til i could really make up my mind on what i wanted to study. I'm not sure if my choice of area of study would still have been psychology. But it has been a very fascinating trip, and i suspect it will be as i continue in this area. Learning about yourself and others, it doesn't neccessarily make you a better person, but it definitely makes you more aware and give you more answers to a question. It is such a fascinating jump from the IT world into something which deals with the humanities.

Dinner tonight and maybe to somewhere with a live band if amos finally has the mood for anything. The Fort Minor concert was not bad. Styles of Beyond were pretty good live acts on their own, i was definitely impressed by their rapping, much more than Mike Shinoda who had a lot of airtime on the album. Black violin was superb, this trio of violinist and cellist who played really good classical versions of hip hop top 40s. But sitting right at the top of the indoor stadium felt like i was watching the concert outside of my body. Something akin to the Gods watching us little ants scurry about in our daily lives. It was a fantastic night though something different from dinners and movies. Craving for a starbucks coffee...
